MARIANNE BEER

Born and raised in Munich, Germany, as the daughter of a hairstylist and a goldsmith, Marianne has always been exposed to beauty and art.

Growing up she loved watching dark comedies and horror films but it wasn’t until she got introduced to Wes Craven films that she was inspired to pursue a career in Special Effects Makeup and work in the film industry.

 

After graduating college with a degree in Language Interpretation and Translation, she worked full-time for her family's hospitality business. Not knowing how she could ever end up in Hollywood on a filmset she played the Green Card Lottery, and won. 

A few years ago, Marianne finally decided to pack her suitcase and move to the City of Angels to turn her dreams into reality and become a Makeup Artist in the entertainment industry.

Obtaining a Makeup Diploma from April Love Pro Makeup Academy, Marianne learned everything from basic makeup application to period hairstyling as well as advanced makeup techniques taught by renowned Pro Makeup Artist Stephen Dimmick. Upon graduating, Marianne went on to book runway shows, editorial photoshoots and short films.

Realizing that working on film and music video production was her true passion she continued her education at Cinema Makeup School in Hollywood, specializing in Special Effects Makeup. During her time at Cinema Makeup School Marianne qualified to attend “The Leonard Engelman Fellowship”, an honors program in the cinematic makeup diciplines. 

 

Due to her professionalism, reliability and incredible talent, Marianne has established herself as a go-to makeup artist for many entertainment industry personalities. Her impressive makeup portfolio ranges from film and red carpet to editorial work and beyond and includes work with international, high profile clients such as movie legend Mel Brooks, Supermodel Patricia Hartman, Actress Nadine Velazquez, and German Actor Philippe Brenninkmeyer.

Marianne enjoys the diversity of the film and entertainment industry, especially being able to blend her perfectionism into the genres of beauty and horror. She specializes in film makeup and hairstyling, likes creating makeup effects and loves designing original and signature makeup looks for actors, musicians and theatre performers.
